New Roads

I started out on the Wabash Avenue Route, but found myself on a new road.  It's tough for me to find a new route so close to home, but I rode up and down a hill that I've covered thousands of times by car, but never before by bike - 4th street in Lafayette.

When downtown, I detoured on Romig, 5th, and Main before heading home through campus.

I took three great pictures along the way before I realized that my camera had no memory card.

There is something special about locating new roads on a bike. For me I think it is the sense of adventure I get and this sense takes me back to when I was kid expanding my boundaries.

The only thing I like about Atlanta's urban sprawl is I've been riding here for almost 30 years and can still find within a 2-3 hour ride dozens of roads I've never traveled. It's like that dream where you find new rooms in your house ... a great mix of new and familiar.

I'm so happy my new camera won't take a picture unless I've got the memory card plugged in!
