Christmas Ride
Nothing special. Just a ride to Granville and back. The roads seemed a little unfamiliar, and it turns out it has been over two months since I last rode that way.
I had to cut the ride short so that I could make it to the 'orphan Christmas' my neighbors were hosting for grad students from foreign lands. They served great gumbo!

Sometimes it is nice to go on a ride to an area you do not get to as often.
Noticed your using toe clips. Have you ever tried clipless? And, if so, what did you think? Did you try them and go back to clips?
I've been able to get out on my road bike a few times recently, and it sure feels good to ride it again. It's such a better ride than my commuterized old mountain bike.
Rev,
No, I haven't tried clipless, but I'm not that fond of toe clips. I have a tough time getting my shoes in when it is the slightest bit wet, or if I'm in a hurry to do so. I hope to get some shoes, cleats, and pedals this spring.
Dan
I've been alternating between them. I think, though, that I actually prefer the toe clips. That's probably because most of my rides are spent either commuting or touring. I like being able to use street shoes.
