Don't Bring a Bike Unless You Already Ride
Apparently, Purdue University is tired of all the abandoned bikes on campus.

He said the one item he discourages, unless students regularly use them already, is bicycles.Well, they certainly won't if they don't have a bike to ride.

that's just silly. everyone bikes in Davis, CA - we have a lot of abandoned bikes too, but we also have a semi-annual bike auction that our Transportation and Parking Services puts on. it's a spectacular bike culture
Really, and those auctions are often the source of bikes for other students who need beater bikes for college.
That's a strange policy/request. I'm sure having so many unused bikes on campus can be a problem, but still ... come on!
They sell the left bikes at the Purdue Surplus store anyway. What is he complaining about?
